Level II exam prep for NDT service companies

See where each person stands against American Society for Nondestructive Testing's published outline before you pay for training or book an exam seat.

What your team can use today

  • A free check per exam, scored by domain
  • A study plan built around each person's exam date
  • A one-page reimbursement request your staff can send to a manager

Questions are original, written to the published content outline, and every answer key is re-checked by a separate blind solve.

1. BaselineEach person takes the free check for the exam they are sitting next.
2. FocusTheir results name the weakest domain, so study time goes where it is needed.
3. ReimburseIf you fund prep, staff can generate a request letter with the cost and reasons.

This page is for supervisors and training managers who buy exam preparation for NDT technicians. Angle Beam prepares one person at a time for the ASNT NDT Level II General exams. A crew order is the same course bought for several people, quoted and invoiced by hand.

Check which route your company uses

NDT technicians are certified one method at a time, and two routes are common. Under ASNT's central certification, a technician sits ASNT's exams. Under employer certification to SNT-TC-1A, the employer writes and gives the exams under its own written practice. Angle Beam prepares people for the ASNT General exams in UT, MT and PT. It does not cover the Specific exams, RT or VT. If your company certifies under its own written practice, check what that practice requires before you buy seats. Our guide to ASNT and employer certification explains the difference.

ASNT may change an exam outline. Each method's guide states which outline the practice follows, so check the UT and MT outline guides against your technicians' exam dates.

What each seat gets

A seat is one person's access to one course. Each course includes:

  • A question bank for that method's General exam, with each answer key checked by an independent second solve
  • Timed practice exams
  • A lesson for each topic in the published ASNT outline
  • A study plan built from the person's exam date

Each technician can try the free 10-question check first. It shows a score by domain without signing up, so a supervisor can see where study time is needed before paying for seats.

How quotes and invoices work

The crew prices below are per seat. The price depends on crew size: one rate for 3 to 9 seats and a lower rate for 10 or more. The table shows the exact figures for each method.

  1. Send the form. Give us your name, work email, company, the method and the number of seats.
  2. Get a quote by email. A person at Angle Beam replies with a quote.
  3. Pay by invoice. We invoice by hand. There is no checkout for crew orders.

Crew orders are handled by email. We do not offer seat assignment, a roster or a team dashboard. Each person works through their own course, and you track progress in your own crew plan.

Common questions

Can I see how my technicians are doing?

Not in one place. Angle Beam has no team dashboard. Ask each technician to share their free-check score and study-plan progress, and record it in your training file.

Can I pay for one technician without a quote?

Yes. A single course is a one-time payment on the course page. If your employer is paying, tick "My employer is paying" at checkout and we email a receipt you can expense. The terms cover refunds for individual purchases.

Does the course qualify a technician to perform NDT?

No. Angle Beam is exam preparation only. ASNT issues its credentials, and your employer's written practice decides who is authorized to perform and sign off examinations.
